Great news! You don’t have to meet with a BodyTalk or Reiki practitioner in person to realize its healing power! These sessions can be effectively done at a distance as well as in-person.
Jayne works with many of her clients across the country via phone or skype at a distance with the same amazing results as she gets working with clients in her office.
How does distant healing work?
There are numerous perspectives on how distant healing works. Common to virtually all perspectives is the belief that a person’s focused intention can have non-local effect, that is, the healing intention of one person can have a positive effect on another who is at a distance.
(refer to the book I can’t think of right now)
Distant healing can be understood as an “integral practice” that brings together a healer’s capacities for holding intention, attention and compassion in ways that may enhance healing effects.
Distant healing is a method of energy healing at any long distance. According to Quantum Physics, we live in a world of energy. In the world of energy, there is no such thing as time or space. Distant healing is based on Quantum Physics discoveries that energy is not restricted to any time and location. It is possible to transmit healing energies over any distance and this form of healing can be very effective.
Sessions are done over telephone or skype. They are scheduled for 50 minutes and include an email follow-up. After an initial interview, you can either remain on the phone, or relax during the treatment process without the distraction of the telephone. After the work is completed, you will receive a phone call to report on the session and answer any questions. If you are unavailable by telephone, an email can be sent. You are encouraged to send a progress report by email about a week after your appointment.
A diversified and skilled healer, Jayne brings many years of training to her massage sessions. As a perpetual student she continues to explore various therapies & incorporates many techniques and other modalities in her “toolkit” into the massage session.
She holds certificates in NeuroMuscular Repogramming, CranioSacral Levels 1&2, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone Therapy, Touch for Health, and Barefoot Shiatsu.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means Universal Life Force. It is a gentle technique; it is non-invasive and non-manipulative. The energy is channeled through the practitioner’s hands to the client, which activates the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. It is one of the most relaxing techniques available with the potential for great healing.
Reiki was founded by Mikao Usui in the 1800’s. It was passed on to Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, who then passed it on to Mrs. Hawayo Takata. It was Mrs. Takata who brought Reiki to the United States.
What can it be used for?
Reiki is a powerful yet very gentle method that affects the physical, emotional and spiritual levels, restoring and balancing vital energy wherever it is most needed. Reiki has been known to assist with physical discomfort, release of headaches, stress reduction and immune system depletion.
What happens during a Reiki session?
Reiki sessions vary in length. During a session, the client remains fully clothed and relaxes on a massage table. The practitioner’s hands are held lightly in positions on the body from the head to the feet. The Reiki energy is used by the body, motions and mind to restore balance and energy wherever it is most needed. Heat, light vibration or energy shifts are felt by some clients while others experience deep relaxation and positive emotional balance.
